The Orange County Fire Rescue Department (OCFRD) Reserve Association is volunteer program. The members of the Orange County Reserve Association offer their time and talent to aid the OCFRD Community Health Initiatives Unit (CHI) at events and health fairs, and provide first aid and fire suppression during the Zellwood Corn Festival. The Reserves is a multi-faceted organization that comes to the aid of the citizens of Orange County as well as the Orange County Fire Rescue Department with the operation of the Rehab Unit to assist during second alarm (or greater) fires and other extended time operations.

How does a person join the Orange County Reserve Association?
Attend a meeting and request an application package from an associate or an Orange County Fire Rescue Recruitment Officer. These meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the third Wednesday of every month, located at:

Becoming a member will give the applicant the possibilities of riding with an Orange County Fire Rescue unit to train and learn first hand the demands of a firefighter's job. You may even choose to make firefighting your career! Once you have made the commitment to join the Reserve Association, we offer monthly practical training on the Sunday following the monthly meetings. These practical training sessions are conducted by OCFRD personnel. You would be required to participate a minimum of 24 hours per month (this includes the meeting and training hours).
